🌷 this wknd! 🌷 spring bulb pop up! sat, nov 4 11am-sell out in winston
tulips, daffodils, crocus, & saffron to plant now for spring blooms -- plus cake, sandwiches, & more!
This email is for Winston locals; apologies to everyone else across the world! But, feel free to take this previous post as a helpful discovery of my favorite tulip, daffodil, crocus, allium, & hyacinth varieties this year and look for them online or at your local shops!
I am popping up in the morning (Saturday!) at Synergy — my favorite spin/hiit/yoga spot here in Winston. 🧘🏻♀️ They are doing a little community market with lots of my other favorite people (like Little Pep and The Good Cakes).
My friend Suzie created this space and let me tell you the COMBO OF A SPIN AND YOGA CLASS is what you are missing in your life. I cannot do a full hour of yoga. I cannot do a full hour of spin. But wow I can do 20 minutes on a bike and then 20 minutes of the best stretching ever. Every fitness/gym spot in the world should be offering this but they’re not, so go to Synergy and say hi to Suzie. :D
Where: SYNERGY / 905 S Broad St, Winston Salem, NC
When: Saturday, Nov 4 from 11am-sell out (I have limited supplies so come early!)
Parking: East of Texas lot, or street parking on Walnut or Poplar
Come see me and grab some bulbs — you can put them in large pots on your patio hidden under violets, or anywhere you like in your yard. They also make a very lovely gift. They can be planted now or anytime in the next month so long as they are kept cool (50-60°), dark and dry.
BULBS I WILL HAVE FOR SALE!
A note about tulips: All varieties I am bringing in are Darwin Hybrids, with the exception of 1 Emperor. There ARE more ornate, fancier varieties — but they do not return each year, so I focus on Darwins. Darwins are known to thrive in the Southeast. They can tolerate adverse weather conditions, and are likely to naturalize here (come back each year & spread). They have tall stems (20-24”), are exceptional for cutting, and they bloom for a full month or more. They are stunning when planted in clusters or en masse.
…and I’ll alsoooooooooooo have some surprise bulbs not shown here. :)
Sneaky peaky from some other vendors:
Thank you for reading, and if you are waiting for November Garden Club video recording & materials to be sent out, I will be doing that this weekend the very first second I can get to it. <3
Happy Friday!
